Jason Cumberworth – Director

WestChef Recruitment was founded by Jason Cumberworth in 2009. Jason is a qualified Chef with over 25 years experience in the hospitality industry. Jason has worked across the globe where he attained years of experience working with a vast number of different people and cultures exploring unique culinaries.

Jason identified that there was a need to create WestChef as the hospitality industry within Western Australia was growing fast and required good hospitality staff to service both local and regional areas.

Therefore with Jason’s wealth of experience as a Chef, his qualifications as a Book Keeper and a Diploma of Hospitality Management, WestChef was born!

Jennifer Cumberworth – Injury Management Coordinator

Jennifer has a double degree in Occupational Therapy and Business Administration. Prior to WestChef she worked in the vocational rehabilitation industry. Here she worked with employers from a wide range of industries to develop strategies to ensure timely and effective return to work outcomes. Jennifer also delivered group manual handling training as well as conducting pre-employment medicals, worksite and ergonomic assessments. Jennifer then moved into employer based rehabilitation, in which she focused on injury management, and enjoyed developing and maintaining strong working relationships with all key parties involved. Since becoming part of the WestChef team she continues to foster and promote a safe practice thinking and culture at WestChef. Incidents are responded to promptly, and injured workers are guided and assisted through the injury management process. She has also completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and has a passion for training particularly in the areas of manual handling and ergonomics.

Miranda Hancock – Accounts / Payroll

Miranda is a Tax Practitioners Board – Registered Bookkeeper. She joined WestChef on a self – employed basis to carry out payroll and invoicing for the company. Miranda has been in business as a bookkeeper/administrator since January 2008 and to date has extensive experience in preparing accounts. Her current tasks at WestChef are to ensure that timesheets are processed as soon as possible to allow prompt staff payment and time-efficient sales invoicing and receipting.
